LC Smith Shotgun Repairs
Different models of guns, even some with very similar features have shared same serial number ranges. All of this has created a problem in identifying particular guns. James Stubbendieck, a member of the L. Smith Collectors Association has done a marvelous job in pulling together what factory records on production that could be found. My nephew just bought a 12 ga. Hunter Arms LC Smith Field Grade, with 30' barrels and extractors and Hunter Arms Co, M'F'G's Fulton, NY and L.C. Smith Field Grade stamped on the barrels. The serial number charts indicate it was made in 1913.

Fitting double barrel stocks is a realtalent that only a few craftsmen like Roy has.

Don't get in ahurry. We have to get it right so weare very careful in making sure all parts and wood fit to factorystandards. This craftsmanship takes time. Besides, your LC Smith willbe put in line with dozens of others waiting their turn to go on thebench. Wait time is usually several months.
